Description

Wols, whose real name was Otto Wolfgang Schulze, was born into a wealthy German family in 1913, frequented the avant-garde during his youth and evolved in the spheres of surrealism. If he draws inspiration from the various artistic movements of the time, the originality of his drawings, which are the subject of this exhibition, lies in the framing of his subjects, which seem to be examined through the lens of a microscope.
