The Centre Pompidou presents the first retrospective in France of Georgia O'Keeffe (1887 - 1986), one of the greatest figures of 20th century North American art. The exhibition traces the artistic career of an artist whose longevity enabled her to be the leader of American Modernist painting, of a search for identity that marked the 1930s, and of the "Hard Edge" movement of the 1950s.
