Aight Watch Kupka - Around a Point
François Kupka
Kupka and Mondrian
Description
AIGHT (*Alright) is a collective of watchmaking creators. In 2013, their first creation restyles the 80's iconic slap watch, considering the watch as a new medium for artistic expression.
As a consequence, the Centre Pompidou chose Aight to release a collection of watch around the works of Mondrian, Pollock and Kupka !
František Kupka (1871-1957) was a Czech painter and graphic artist. He was a pioneer and co-founder of the early phases of the abstract art movement and Orphic cubism (Orphism). Kupka's abstract works arose from a base of realism, but later evolved into pure abstract art.
