Description

This etching, Französischer Fuß [French foot], was produced using the sugar aquatint technique and only 100 copies were printed exclusively for the Center Pompidou, on the occasion of the retrospective of the artist, presented in Gallery 1, from October 20, 2021 to March 7, 2022 curated by Bernard Blistène and Pamela Sticht.
It takes up a motif that has been present in the artist's work since his beginnings, in particular with the famous series of PD - Füße [PD feet] (1960-1963, Crex collection) produced at the time of the First pandemonic manifesto (1961) and exhibited in this retrospective.
