Since November 4, the Centre Pompidou and Armor-lux offer a marine sweater revisited in a «pop» colour palette, which is emblematic of the Parisian building and dear to Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, optimistic and poetic.

Description

In 2021, on the occasion of the workshop-exhibition by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, «The People of Tomorrow», at the Children's Gallery, the Centre Pompidou published an exclusive range of products, designed in collaboration with the artist. The Centre Pompidou and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac have teamed up with a number of well-known brands to revisit one of the emblematic garments in the Armor-lux catalogue: its unmissable marine sweater. The «Parinière», a colorful and Parisian version of the sweater, was born.

Two years after this first meeting, Armor-lux, the Centre Pompidou and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, renew their collaboration to offer this iconic Parinière, for men and women. Made in France, they are knitted in Troyes, in the Guy de Bérac workshops, owned by the Armor-lux Group.

This beautiful collaboration is part of the logical continuation of the actions carried out over the last years by Armor-lux to enhance its industrial know-how and its emblematic clothes alongside great designers (Marc Jacobs, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac...), famous brands (Colette, Swarovski, Deauville, Jott, Cyrillus One Step...), or in international museums (Museum of Modern Art in New York, Guggenheim Museum in Venice...). Armor-lux is labelled Living Heritage Company since 2010.
