Description
On the edge of a forest there is a country where many species of birds live in harmony. Most are migratory birds: thanks to their travels they exchange a thousand things with the rest of the world. But little by little, migrations are becoming rarer, the birds have traveled less, until they no longer leave their country. What is the point of moving when you have everything on site? Everything is frozen. The birds have become sedentary. Among them, the geese have stuffed themselves, they have grown to the point of losing their feathers.
Loison, a young goose, has no desire to become like them! Pia, her magpie friend, shrugs her shoulders: "It's not that bad, everyone seems happy". But Loison has heard the stories of explorations, migrations, she too wants to discover these lands that her grandmother and her friends tell her about who regret not being able to fly. She has the intuition that the answer lies in the infinite forest. , the forest where no one should go and from which no one ever returns!
The two protagonists, in search of answers on the sedentary lifestyle that is so sclerotic in their world, thus begin an initiatory journey that plunges the reader into the phantasmagoric universe of the painter Gérard Garouste.
Through twists and turns, they meet colorful characters who will carry with them the hope of travel and the renewal of ties.
