Description
Total artist, Patti Smith born in 1975 in Chicago, is a singer, rock musician, poet, writer, painter and photographer, inspired by the figures of Rimbaud, Artaud and Daumal.
Unpublished exhibition designed by Patti Smith and Soundwalk Collective for the Center Pompidou, EVIDENCE is a poetic and immersive quest. Equipped with a hypersensitive helmet which reacts to his movements, the visitor is invited to a physical and sound wandering in the footsteps of Arthur Rimbaud, Antonin Artaud, René Daumal, to meet their poetic and symbolic universe united in the same territory. imaginary.
The exhibition space will show screenings of films made on these different territories, objects collected on site such as talismans, organic and poetic installations representing the territories crossed by each poet.
At the end of the tour, the visitor faces an installation: on the model of the investigation walls, Patti Smith juxtaposes and mixes photocopies of documents, archive photos, poems, original drawings from her personal collection or from those of the MNAM and the MoMa, so many proofs of the existence of the journey of these poets and their inspiration to offer a real dive into their thought.
