Description

Christian Marclay: repetition, appropriation, invention

Heir to John Cage and Andy Warhol, but also to comic books and punk aesthetics, the work of the Swiss-American artist Christian Marclay is placed under the sign of collage and montage. For the first time since 2007, his work is widely presented in a panorama exhibition, conceived according to a network of affinities and echoes deploying the logic of the multimedia artist, mixing detour and metamorphoses.

The catalog includes an interview between the artist and the curator of the exhibition Jean-Pierre Criqui.
