Description

Tadao Ando (1947 - ) is a Japanese architect, known internationally for his mastering of light, his minimalist contructions, the formalism of his plans and his geometric compositions.
Rewarded many times, including by the prestigious Pritzker price in 1995, he now works on many monumentos projects, including the museum of the Pinault Collection, in the former Bourse de Commerce (commodity exchange) of Paris.
This catalogue helps understand the elegant and simple work of this architect, throughout 70 of his most beautiful projects. This rich monograph is enriched by 3 portfolios presenting black and white photographs, his pencil drawings, and, for the first time reproduced, his travel books.
