A computer scientist before she became a computer engineer, Molnár implemented in the 1960s a production method she named "imaginary machine", before becoming the first artist in France (1968) to create digital drawings using a plotter table connected to a computer. Up until the mid 1990s, she engaged in a systematic exploration of formal families whose mutations she portrayed, often favoring retakes and series.
