Le Violon rouge
Raoul Dufy (1877-1953) Le Violon rouge [vers 1948] Oil on canvas 38,5 x 46 cm Evocation of the musical universe dear to Dufy, whose favorite composers are Mozart, Bach and Debussy, the work combines the sketchy design of two trapezoids - the score and the piece of furniture - and the curved forms of the violin, which are accompanied by like a mise en abyme and a wink, the words "Music and painting by Raoul Dufy".
