Description

Known for her large-scale drawings, sculptures and installations, Tatiana Trouvé works on the relationship between memory and matter, highlighting the passage of time in relation to the permanence of everyday objects. She presents a floating world where the human figure is marked by its absence mixed with the traces of its passage: uncertain and restless places, scenes crossed by the effects of memory and oblivion, work that echoes the dream and the unconscious.

For her exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, the artist created four new drawings, including Il Mondo delle voci, which she chose to use for the creation of a limited boxed set edition of the reference catalogue accompanying the exhibition.

The printer Jappel silk-screened the work onto a canvas using two passes of black ink. The canvas was then UV-cured and hot-stamped with metal before being re-stamped onto the book, reflecting the texture of the washed-out paper, the contrasts of the original work and the copper thread running through the design.

This exceptional work with its silk-screened cover is printed in an edition of 50 copies, numbered and signed by the artist. It is presented in a canvas box.

The whole set, result of a dialogue with the artist throughout the preparation of her exhibition, constitutes an exceptional publication.
