Description

In 1969, the Centre de Création Industrielle (CCI) was founded at the initiative of François Mathey, François Barré, Yolande Amic, and Yvonne Brunhammer, within the Union centrale des Arts décoratifs (UCAD).

Its aim was to organize exhibitions and events centered around industrial objects. More than fifty years after its founding and its relocation from the Musée des Arts Décoratifs to the Centre Pompidou, its spirit is more alive than ever.

This issue of Cahiers du Musée national d'art moderne symbolizes the fusion of the Mnam and the CCI-a symbol of the continuity and legacy of the CCI's mission, as well as its significance in shaping the future of the Museum in the 20th century.
