Description
This exhibition pays tribute to two major artists, Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) and Jean Tinguely (1925-1991), whose works marked the first decades of the Centre Pompidou through spectacular creations such as Zig et Puce's Crocrodrome in the building's Forum and the Stravinsky Fountain near IRCAM.
The exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, in the Grand Palais, will take visitors on a journey that is both historical and entertaining, showing the creations that involved the three protagonists - in the name of love, for Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely, and in the name of friendship, for Pontus Hulten - in an adventure that is now one of the highlights of 20th-century art history.
