Description
Loïc Froissart, the author of Ma cabane and other albums for young people, spent many hours in the heart of the Centre Pompidou to familiarise himself with all these hits and tips and to get his bearings in this immense liner.
Like a guided tour, the reader is invited to wander through the thousands of square metres of the building; after being captivated by the Forum's many activities, he takes the famous escalator, the chenille, which zigzags along the façade and serves each floor. He then discovers the exhibition and museum areas with their squared rooms and settles down at the Bpi to read and rest. And as the pages go by, the reader gradually becomes aware of the astonishingly colourful structure, its various functions and all the people involved.
Behind the futuristic decor, the backstage of a large museum to understand what is behind the famous construction that made headlines and caused a scandal at the end of the 1970s.
